The singers publicist today confirmed Whitney Houston has been found dead.
Houston won two Emmy Awards, six Grammy Awards, 30 Billboard Music Awards, 22 American Music Awards during her record-breaking career. Her album "Whitney" was the first female album to ever debut at #1 on the Billboard Charts. She has sold 200 albums world wide.
Houston holds an Honorary Doctorate in Humanities from Grambling State University in Louisiana.
Houston had one child, Bobbi Kristina, with husband Bobby Brown. Houston and Brown were married from 1992-2007.
The death was confirmed by her publicist Kristen Foster. No news surrounded the death has been released however, the family will make a statement soon. The news comes as a shock as Whitney attended a pre-Grammy Award show party Friday night.
According to Alan Duke of CNN, she was found in the early afternoon on the 11th February in her suite at the Beverly Hilton Hotel. She was found by her boyfriend Ray J, who is reported to be in a terrible state at the time.
Publicist for Ray J confirmed he did not find the body as he is nowhere near her location. It is still believed she was found at the Beverly Hilton Hotel as there is currently a police presence at the hotel as well as a forensic unit.
